This year's regional winners of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award have recently been announced. Jenny Allen, CEO of Youth Focus has been awarded the Social Entrepreneur of the Year, for the Western Region. The six State winners will go on to compete for the 2008 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur National Award in Sydney on 27 November. The Australian Entrepreneur of the Year is invited to represent Australia at the World Awards to be held in Monte Carlo.

The Mental Health Emergency Response Line (formerly P.E.T), freecall on 1300 555 788 (metro) or 1800 676 822 (Rural).
This service consists of professionals who can come to a person's home for emergency assessment. Calls during normal business hours will be referred to the local Mental Health Service.
In country areas please contact Rurallink on 1800 552 002. Rurallink operates from 4.30 pm to 8.30 am Monday to Friday, and 24 hours on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. During business hours the emergency number is patched through to a local service.

The service uses a combination of established psychological measures. Data is analysed using quantitative statistical techniques and incorporated into comprehensive, easy-to-read reports for teaching staff, allied health professionals, funding organisations, parents and other interested parties.
